Check it out – we were on Pickler & Ben! Kellie Pickler and Ben Aaron have a lot of fun on their daily talk show, and we got to play around in the kitchen with them as they created their own signature Goo Goo made up of hazelnuts, chocolate hazelnut spread, peanut butter, vanilla wafers and rainbow sprinkles. This will now be our go-to cheesecake recipe every fall! Judging the Goo Goo recipe contest at the 2017 Tennessee State Fair was no easy task—there were many incredible desserts competing. Ultimately three stood out from all the contenders, including this delicious pumpkin cheesecake incorporating Original Goo Goo Clusters.

It’s here! The last release in our 2017 Summer Chef Series is from Chef Tony Galzin of Nicky’s Coal Fired here in Nashville. Inspired by spumoni ice cream and rooted in traditional Italian flavors, the “Hey, Paisan!” features Averna amaro caramel, toasted pistachios, amarena cherry nougat, and Trapani sea salt with a dark chocolate shell. Next up in our 2017 Summer Chef Series is Chef Levon Wallace of Gray & Dudley in Nashville’s 21C Hotel. Featuring milk chocolate hazelnut mousse, caramel hazelnut butter, salted caramel and fancy pastry crunch inside a dark chocolate shell, the GD Cluster was inspired by the popular cream puff on Gray & Dudley’s dessert menu. Premium Goo Goo #3 has launched in our 2017 Summer Chef Series!  Bringle’s Native Nashvillian was concepted by Peg Leg Porker Pitmaster and native Nashvillian Carey Bringle. Featuring Bringle’s own Peg Leg Porker Bourbon and peanuts smoked at his downtown Nashville restaurant, BNN is layered with peach bourbon ganache, toasted molasses marshmallow, smoked peanuts, and molasses bourbon caramel, then topped with a dark chocolate shell. Next up in our 2017 Summer Chef Series is Chef Crystal De Luna-Bogan of Nashville’s Grilled Cheeserie Melt Shop. Crystal collaborated with us to create a Premium Goo Goo inspired by one of her first food truck dessert creations, a cookie melt made with insanely delicious pretzel & dark chocolate chip cookies. Layered with vanilla bean marshmallow, that special recipe chocolate chip and pretzel cookie, salted caramel, then covered in milk chocolate, and finished with a pretzel crust base, the O.G. Our first release in the 2017 Goo Goo Summer Chef Series is from Chef Bryan Lee Weaver of Nashville’s Butcher & Bee restaurant. Bryan collaborated with us to create a Premium Goo Goo inspired by his favorite dessert, Banana Pudding. Made with banana pudding ganache, toasted marshmallows, vanilla wafers, and caramel, then all covered in milk chocolate, the Bananas Bryan Premium is available for a limited time, so get yours now! The Goo Goo Shop is excited to announce that our third annual “Goo Goo Summer Chef Series” kicks off this Friday, July 14, 2017! The series, featuring Premium Goo Goo creations imagined by some of Nashville’s best chefs, will run from July 14th through the end of September. This year’s lineup includes: Bryan Lee Weaver – Butcher & Bee Crystal De Luna-Bogan – Grilled Cheeserie Melt Shop + Food Trucks Carey Bringle – Peg Leg Porker Tony Galzin – Nicky’s Coal Fired Levon Wallace – Gray & Dudley Each chef will be collaborating with Bethany Halliger, the Goo Goo Shop’s Pastry Chef, to create his or her own Premium Goo Goo flavor that will be sold at the Goo Goo Shop, our online store, and in some instances, the chef’s restaurant. Flavors will rotate, with a new chef being featured every two weeks. Flavors will be announced on our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) and here on our website as they are launched.
