The true tale of how the Goo Goo Clusters got its name is that candy maker Howell Campbell was riding the streetcar to work one day, telling his fellow passengers about a new candy he’d invented. Campbell mentioned he was struggling to find a name for it, so passengers offered suggestions, but nothing particularly excited him. Eventually the conversation shifted, and a school teacher inquired about Campbell’s infant son. He told her that the baby had just said his first words, “goo goo”. The teacher exclaimed, “That’s what you should call your candy – Goo Goo! It’s so good, people will ask for it from birth.” More about the Goo Goo legacy on the About Us page.https://googoo.com/pages/about
